    Nash Backpack

The Nash Backpack was created with the roving Carp angler in mind. The backpack is very compact, but at the same time the 3 tiered compartments allow for a very decent load to satisfy even the most demanding of Shore Anglers. The detailing that enhances the comfort and support of this midi sized backpack is unrivaled and something that allows the Nash Backpack to stand head and shoulders above its competitors. The large Sturdy Zips and extra strong reinforced webbing first catch the eye but there's much more to this backpack:

    The Three Bears Syndrome

Too Small: If the Backpack was to small it would be hopeless as the shore angler requires a wide range of tackle and support items such as a Jacket, Torches, Drinks, Food and a full range of terminal tackle and enough leads for the day. I also like to carry Camera equipment and need a 'Safe & Dry' area for things such as my Ipod and Mobile! Doesn't everyone.

Too Big: If the Backpack was too big I'd find a way of filling it, I know thats true - I have a full sized Backpack that somehow I can get more tackle in than my faithful Blue Shacky Box. The large 'Bergen' style packs a better for invading foreign lands than they are for Shore fishing duties. The only time I'll use a 'Big Un' is if I have large Bulky clothing such as a floatation suit in winter [which you should avoid walking long distances in]

Just Right: The Nash Backpack fits this bracket for sure. There are two full sized compartments and one smaller one that's designed to fit the Anglers Nick Nacks. The inner pockets are ideal for securing the mobile phone, a hook for the car keys [brilliant] and 3 pen like holding loops that would hold a Gemini Style T Bar, some baiting needles or the likes of. The larger sections are ideal for Jacket, Reels, box of Leads, rig wallet etc. Both are the same full height and width with one that is approx 6 inches deep and the other about 4 inches deep. You'll still get 2 or 3 Tronix winder boxes, in the 4 inch middle compartment. Storage Sorted. ...

    RodWrap 2XL Salt Water

I recently completed a review on an MTI 15lb Off Shore boat rod. I loved the blank, the way it fished along with the thin butt section and progressively powerful blank. I did however find the butt diameter to be too thin for me [no need for comments, please] This was not immediately noticeable but as the session went on it became apparent I was looking for a more comfortable way of holding the rod.

I used the rod a number of times and concluded I had to do something about the Butt Section. I like to play a bit of cricket and I always get a few looks from anyone who picks up my bat - in the way I use 4 or 5 handle rubbers. It allows me to play with softer hands but doesn't seem to get me anymore runs. Anyhow, I decided see if adding a few rubbers would work on the MTI Off Shore? ...

    Snowbee Lightweight Waders

Say the name Snowbee in most fishing circles and quality boots and waders spring to mind. The company originaly started with a Light Weight Wader made from PVC and has taken big 'safe and dry' steps since then and established themselves as a market leader in their chosen product. For sea anglers Snowbee also produce Power Pro [my choice of braid for a long while], a full range of wet/dry Luggage, Clothing and some fantastic looking Rods and Reels too - take a look at the Jigging Gear!!

Before I get too excited about all that, I've a pair of waders to review - Usually a BIG issue for me but when Snowbee said they supply the Light Weight Wader in Size 14's I was delighted at the prospect of chest waders that fit! My usual option is to go for the XL Stocking foot - which in most cases is a Size 12 max!

    2610 HeadsUp Lite

    Review by Lou Edwards

It took me a while to put finger to keyboard on this one, its a head torch that comes from a company with a great pedigree, and in its own right is a good torch, but I have to review this one from a sea anglers perspective.

    2690 HeadsUp Lite

    Review by Lou Edwards

Looking at practicality for a headlamp puts this one in a class of its own, if you want a rugged lamp that will exist at the bottom of the harshest of tackle bags then this is it. The Peli 2690 feels like a work horse, its construction is from chemical resistant ABS plastic, and is noted for being the head torch of choice within the fire and rescue services, I saw one being used recently on the TV in Haiti, and that says a lot to me, you can’t buy promotion like that.

    LED-LENSER H7 Headlamp
    Review by Chesilmaster

I have recently purchased the Led Lenser H7 headlamp. Its the most expensive headlamp, that i have ever brought. Saying that, it only cost £34.70 inc postage.

First impression of the lamp was good. It is compact and lightweight. It is well assembled and looks as though its built to last. It loads up with 3 x AAA batteries (supplied), but i put my own Duracell in. The lamp has variuos power settings thats easy to adjust on the lightweight battery pack. It can be very dim or very bright. The lamp itself is a very powerful light. It has a wide angled beam or you can adjust the beam and range, by a small lever under the light. It can be extended to give a beam of light upto 500 ft. Its perfect for clambering over rocks or other tricky obsticles.
