    All About Dorset Fishing Rods

    Richard Cake

I live in Dorset, just outside of Dorchester in the heart of Hardy’s Wessex. I have had a fascination with fish and fishing from and early age. My first day at primary school saw the afternoon of non-attendance due to ‘gone fishing’ in the local chalk stream for our native brown trout.

That is where my fishing started, humble Woolworth’s kit, bread and lobworms free lining for brown trout. From there I went onto course fishing and still enjoy a day’s chub fishing on the river or feeder fishing for bream and tench.
