A few forum members posted a Weather and Tide Thread for the best of the Websites out there that will give us a clue to the best Days & Nights to head out fishing. We've a quick snapshot of those www.shoreangler.co.uk liked best:

Tides

NCO National Oceanography Centre - UK and Irish Tidal Predictions [and more] for 28 Days. Reports can be downloaded as PDF files. High and Low Predictions from 2006 to 2028 and Harmonic Constants for each port. Much more info available including Coastal Observatory


Easy Tide - Should be most peoples first port of call for a 7 Day Tidal Prediction on line. Simple, Quick and Reliable, what more do you need?


Met Office - Marine Warnings. In the UK, the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) is responsible for the provision of Maritime Safety Information (MSI) to ships at sea, which includes the broadcast of warnings and forecasts. This includes Navigation Warnings.

The Met Office initiates warnings and prepares routine forecasts for dissemination on behalf of the MCA. The front pages has links to the latest Observations and Storm Wind Warning etc etc.


Met Office - Strong Wind Warning As a Shore Angler it's good to know what the wind and Sea will be doing in your area - lucky for us there's lots of Egg Heads at the Met Office predicting what's going down, up, or just all over the place! You can select your area of coast in the drop down. Brilliant Page and a must for you Rock Hoppers!


Magic Seaweed As a web designer, I like this site. As an Angler I love it. Sea Swell, Wind Speed and importantly the Sea Temperature quick and easy to find formats - Not All Fishing Beaches are listed but all of the Surf Beaches are! Nice graphics and some great supporting images too.


Wind Guru Everything you ever wanted to know about the wind, erh like what direction it's going to be coming from on the next high tide around Poole Harbour for instance. Very easy to use and good reliable predictions found here. Another Surf based site that's spot on for us anglers - even lists Severn Beach, but I've never seen any Surfers at that point (I've seen some further up surfing the Severn Bore!)


XCWeather UK Wind and Temperature in a Flash. Simple and Quick to use. One to add to your favourites for sure. Search deeper into the site for good forecasting and detailed reports.


Wunderground There a bit more to this website than initially meets the eye! Webcams, Satellite images and all sorts of short and long term forecasts to be found here - layout is a little busy but overall worthy addition to the Shore Anglers list.
