New for 2010 - ABU Atlantic 484
RRP 179.99History of the Abu 484Way back in 1969, I had just turned 2 years old and Peter Bagnall had just taken delivery of a new Abu Atlantic 484 prototype salmon rod that was to take the Shore Angling World by storm with a new styled Zoom Cast and later see the introduction of a true Pendulum cast in excess of 200 yrds by Nigel Forrest.
The Original Abu 484 sported hard Chrome rings, a then 'space aged' duralumin* butt and robust metal ferule. Thick walls supported the powerful butt section that could produce casts in excess of it competitors. However, the overall finish has been described a 'Heavy' but clearly this was a very effective rod.
